A village that occupies the southern side of Ras Ash-Shaka’a and that overlooks the town of Selaata and the sea. It is 4 km away from Batroun City and has an altitude of 190 m. one can arrive at it from Batroun via Koubba and Selaata.
Its St-Stephan’s parish church (Mar Estephan) dates back to mid0nineteenth century. Inside it one can find an “iconostasis” engraved in wood. Its “Mar Takla’s” Church was lately restored. It is surrounded with wells and rocky sarcophagi. Its Cross Elevation’s church (Kanisat Rafe’ Al-Saleeb) was recently constructed (1996).
